Welcome to the Ocean Road Cancer Institute website. This is the medium where we share what the Institute performs daily in the provision of the cancer care services to our clients. The ocean Road Cancer Institute is situated in Ilala Dar es Salaam, housed in a building which has aged for 129 years since it was built, the building has a rich history in Tanzania, stretching back in the 19^th Century when the German occupied Tanzania. The vision of the Institute is to “be a centre of excellence with national, regional and international reputation in cancer control.”

The provision of cancer care services toward achieving our vision is tremendously executed by professional staff recruited at Ocean Road Cancer Institute.

The Institute is very proud to exponentially expand in technical capacity, the hospital has already installed state of art medical equipments which enhance the radiotherapy and brachytherapy treatments offered at the hospital, with the installation of Linear accelerator, CT Simulator and on course to secure PET CT and Cyclotron.

There is 100% medicine availability for the patients enhanced by the Government of Tanzania medicine subvention deposited at MSD, the Institute has established a community-based pharmacy, where insured patients are catered for their medicine needs. We are committed in serving you and the nation towards achieving ruling party manifesto and Tanzania development goals 2025 where the target is Access to quality primary health care for all.
